Tama Drums| Music Trade Event | Music Companies at NAMM 2022

Tama drums ( and Ibanez, parent company Hoshino Music) is definitely going to be one of the major drum companies to show up at NAMM. NAMM is short for the National Association of Music Merchandising. Its a Music trade show that will have Tama Drums there! The music event is on June 3rd starting and ends on June 5th. You can register for the event on their website.

Being able to meet with Tama Drums is a huge deal. They are arguably one of the best drum companies in the industry and legends in music instrument innovation. We here at Cinderella Man Studios utilize Tama's Starclassic line of drums. OF THE LIGHT drummer, Greg Telfeian shreds on the Tama, Birch Bubinga which includes 18" x 22" Bass Drum, 8" x 10", 9" x 12" Tom Toms and 14" x 16" Floor Tom as well as there amazingly durable hardware including the Tama iron cobra rolling glide pedals and other accessories.

Hoshino Gakki, a Japanese musical instrument firm, manufactures and markets Tama Drums, a brand of drum kits and components.


In Seto, Japan, Tama performs product research and development as well as manufactures its finest and most expensive drums on the market. Tama's drums are very affordable and give drummers a great value on the dollar given their good drum performance. Drummers are often happy to own a Tama drum set, and more.


The company's equipment and lower-cost drums are made in Guangzhou, China.

Hoshino has marketing and wholesale distribution offices all around the globe.


Hoshino (U.S.A.) in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, assembles and stocks drums for the American market. Tama's market share is boosted by its US subsidiary.

The Tom-tom Starclassic Maple 12 x 8 inch.


The Starclassic Bubinga logo Starclassic Performer B/B badge, lacquered white oyster finish, Lars Ulrich signature. Comes with A single Speed Cobra pedal as from the side.



Tama's Club-JAM range of small drum sets built from very poplar Drum shells.

The normal Club-JAM kit, the Suitcase kit, the Mini kit, and the Flyer kit are the four main configurations that are offered by Tama Drums aka Tama for short.



Tama's Cocktail-JAM range of cocktail drum kits are composed entirely of birch shells.

Regular and "Mini" versions of this range are offered to hungry drum consumers.



Tama's entry-level drum kit line Imperialstar is named after the former Imperial Star brand.

These drums, like their less costly Swingstar cousins, have poplar shells with a wrap finish and Accu-Tune bass drum hoops. Meinl is one of these drums for an example.
